Position Summary

Position Summary:

The University of New Mexico Information Technologies is currently seeking
two (2) Technical Analyst 1 candidates to join the dynamic Campus Outreach and
Engagement team.

The successful candidates will work closely with the College of Fine Arts
(CFA) IT Officer to support the daily IT operations within the college. The CFA
is a vibrant community with a diverse faculty and staff, supporting a rapidly
evolving curriculum across 13 facilities, including the specialized Film and
Digital Arts and Art Departments. These positions are integral to maintaining
the technological infrastructure that supports teaching, learning, and creative
endeavors within the CFA.

You will be joining a collaborative and supportive IT
team that values innovation and excellence in service. Join us in supporting
the next generation of artists, filmmakers, and digital innovators!

Key responsibilities include:


  • Infrastructure Management: Manage SCCM, InTune, and JAMF for a primarily
    Apple-focused environment, with a growing Windows user base.
  • Active Directory & Group Management: Maintain and support the college's Active Directory
    and associated groups.
  • Printer and Classroom Technology Support: Manage printers and AV-equipped classrooms specific
    to the CFA.
  • Database Management:
    Oversee the SQL Server supporting the Tamarind Institute's eCommerce
    operations, including liaising with vendors for software installations.
  • Remote and In-Person Support: Provide IT support utilizing Bomgar for remote
    assistance and in-person support as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 6 months of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis.



Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in IT infrastructure management, preferably within an academic setting.
  • Proficiency in managing Apple and Windows devices using tools such as SCCM, InTune, and JAMF.
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory, group management, and printer management.
  • Experience with SQL Server and vendor coordination.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to support a diverse user base, including faculty, staff, and students.
  • Experience in supporting IT in an arts-focused academic environment.
  • Familiarity with classroom AV technology.
  • Knowledge of remote support tools such as Bomgar.
