Let's Redefine Possible SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking a Power Studies Design Engineer IV - with experience in building power system models in PSSE, PSCAD and/or ETAP and performing studies including short circuit, reactive power, losses, arc flash, Transient Over Voltage (TOV) or Harmonics. The role would be helping to study and design the latest utility scale Wind, Solar and Storage generation facilities and their interconnection to the grid. The studies group collaboratively supports phasor domain and time domain simulations. Phasor domain simulations - power flow/reactive power compensation, short circuit, and energy loss using the software PSSE. Time domain simulations TOV and Harmonics using the software PSCAD. The emphasis for this role would be on time domain simulations but the engineer is expected to fill in for phasor domain simulations, using PSSE, when needed. A big plus is having experience in dynamic simulations, such as PRC-024 and MOD-026, using PSSE. Another area that is needed is arc flash analysis experience, applying NFPA 70E using ETAP. Hiring Locations: Minneapolis, MN; San Antonio TX; Fargo, ND; Denver, CO The base compensation range for this role in Denver, CO is $110,000 - $165,000. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%). RESPONSIBILITIES:
