Summary of role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic self-starter who wants to join a fast-growing company supporting the Technical Operations and Quality functions with pharmaceutical and manufacturing support experience. Responsible for the monthly and quarterly actual and forecast/budget reporting for the Technical Operations and Quality functions. Primary responsibility includes business partnering with the manufacturing leadership team to develop clear analysis and financial decision support to our various stakeholders and cross functionally through financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting and accounting for various initiatives. Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to: headcount tracking and reporting, account reconciliations, account analysis, variance analysis and involvement with the budgeting and forecasting. This role reports into the Plant Controller Team. Our ideal candidate would also want to grow within our organization.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:



  • Proactive partnership and collaboration with the Technical Operations and Quality Teams
  • Assist in the management of the annual budget, including monthly trend reporting, quarterly financial forecasts and effectively analyzing drivers behind monthly variances to budget/forecast and prior year; Collect and prepare comprehensive, accurate and timely financial analyses on actuals and KPIs, as well as comparisons against forecasts/ Budgets
  • Assist in preparation of presentation materials with an emphasis on key insights that are clearly articulated through accurate financial projections and their impact to the financial statements, and other relevant financial metrics
  • Provides accurate and timely processing of month end, quarter end and year-end financial close requirements
  • Prepare expense accruals for Tech Ops and Quality team; Close collaboration with Accounting team on month end close activities that impact Tech Ops and Quality financials, in particular spend analysis within various functions
  • Manage and analyze various allocations for the organization, including occupancy, labor allocations, and spend to product allocations
  • Assist with gross margin and plant controller reporting and analysis
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and projects as required
  • Challenge processes and the status quo to drive improvements


Basic Qualifications:



  • BA/BS degree in Finance or equivalent. MBA and/or CPA certification preferred, not required.
  • Preferred 3 - 6 years of experience in a finance/ accounting role; budgeting/financial planning experience is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative, team environment with tight deadlines
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to provide meaningful analysis
  • Pharmaceutical and/or manufacturing industry experience/knowledge preferred
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of EPM tools such as SAP is a plus
  • Technical expertise in finance, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of financial statement analysis (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow) and reporting.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Roll up the sleeves attitude and demonstrates strong attention to detail.
  • Must have excellent verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with individuals across all levels.
