Summary: We are currently seeking Bricklayer at our Brackenridge Operations in our Hot Rolling Process Facility (HRPF) dept. A Bricklayer's primary function is to lay brick, ram and castable and perform other masonry work as required in plant maintenance and construction. Duties to Include:
- Interprets prints or sketches, plans work details and determines material, scaffold and tool requirements.
- Directs or assists in razing old structures as required, removing brick and debris from furnaces, stakes and other facilities.
- Lays out work or assists foreman or gang leader in establishing elevations, corner points and base lines on more difficult jobs.
- Directs or assists in setting or removing forms as required.
- Makes provisions for handling materials and equipment to and from job site as required in connection with performance of work.
- Mixes concrete and other bonding materials and transports to the job site.
- Performs various types of rough and finish masonry work such as laying brick, pouring concrete forms, grouting machinery, setting sewers, concrete finishing, insulating furnaces and equipment and plasters interior and exterior walls as required.
- Cuts and fits masonry material to any form as required in the erection of structures involving arches, curved and angular shapes.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must pass internal bricklayer aptitude tests.
Preferred Requirements:
- 3+ years bricklayer experience
