Overview
The Genomics, Ethics, and Translational Research Program within RTI International conducts translational genetics and genomics research with a focus on rare diseases in newborns, young children, and adults. Our work aims to translate basic science discoveries into clinical and public health practice. Program scientists plan and implement research studies, conduct evaluations, and provide technical assistance to a variety of clients. The Program consists of approximately 20 early-career to mid- and senior-level staff and resides within the GenOmics and Translational Research Center and the Analytics Practice Area, which includes experts in discovery genomics, informatics, biostatistics, and data science. We are seeking a Program Lead/ Senior Genetics Researcher who will oversee operations and establish, plan, and administer goals for the Program in alignment with the Center and Practice Area. In addition, this role entails winning, leading, and/or managing highly complex projects. We require candidates who have a proven track record and expertise in translational genetics or genomics.
