Job Description

This position provides general support for the Department and will play an important role in our mission - improving safety and ensuring environmental compliance. We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented person to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and possess excellent communication skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a number of important duties, including the following:

  • Working with Shared Services to manage accounts payable
  • Fulfilling requisitions for departmental purchases
  • Purchasing, tracking, and maintaining supplies
  • Assisting in the creation and implementation of office policies
  • Onboarding and assisting new departmental hires
  • Managing calendars and scheduling meetings using MS Outlook
  • Monitoring the department's inbox
  • Planning and organizing various events
  • Other duties as assigned

A positive, can-do attitude is an essential element of this position.

The successful candidate will also be a problem-solver and will possess superior time management skills.

Shift

M-F 8:00-5:00

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of University IT systems (WebApps, PeopleSoft, etc.) Significant experience with Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word and Excel)

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour

Grade: GGS-006
