We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to support the General Industrial Division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, reporting, and experience in cost accounting. The Financial Analyst will with a focus on driving strategic decision-making to drive sales growth and profit improvement across the organization. This is a highly visible role which requires effective communication with stakeholders at all levels, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to support the General Industrial Division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, reporting, and experience in cost accounting. The Financial Analyst will with a focus on driving strategic decision-making to drive sales growth and profit improvement across the organization. This is a highly visible role which requires effective communication with stakeholders at all levels, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.

Responsibilities for the Financial Analyst include the following:



  • Conduct business analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making related to sales growth and profit improvement.
  • Manage, analyze, and interpret data to provide insights that inform business strategies. Analysis interpretation, and reporting includes but is not limited to: month end and ad-hoc reporting, P&L's, support for rebate and account credits, budgeting, e-Accounting, On-Base reporting, incentive tracking, compensation reporting, preparation of proformas and all other financial needs.
  • Export, manipulate, and interpret data to support financial planning and analysis. -
  • Collaborate with other departments or teams to provide guidance on necessary changes and proposals to enhance financial systems and processes.
  • Display ownership of assigned tasks and projects, ensuring accountability and timely delivery of results.
  • Communicate effectively with various levels of the organization, particularly with sales and leadership teams, to understand internal and external customer needs and expectations.
  • Apply cost accounting principles to analyze financial performance and assist in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Align processes and systems to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness, often through collaboration with other teams
  • Make informed decisions based on data analysis and business objectives.
  • Market segment reporting and support Marketing CAC needs.
  • Ensure the quality integrity and accuracy of Division financial goals and results, including monthly reporting
  • Support Working Capital Management and Division COPQ reduction goals
  • Support Annual Operating Plan and Sales Rep budgets preparation and development.



Because this role involves access to confidential financial information, the Company has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and to provide similar protections for its clients and potential investments.

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration



KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:



  • 4+ years finance/accounting experience


Preferred:



  • Finance / Accounting experience supporting sales in Industrial sector or coatings
  • Cost Accounting



TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:



  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly with Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


Preferred:



  • Familiarity with cost accounting principles and practices
  • Familiarity with Oracle, Onbase, Salesforce, Microstrategy
