Job Overview
The incumbent will provide Installation Geospatial Information and Services at MAXGUN. Work Model: Onsite/Office-Based
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Ensure mandatory compliance with the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE) AF Adaptation specifications, data quality requirements, and reporting.
- Provide the authoritative installation built and natural infrastructure geospatial data to the AFGIMS geospatial IT system so that it can be simultaneously accessed and exploited on existing AF networks and future platforms by any number of base and HHQs organizations.
- Perform installation-level IGI&S activities in support of USAF objective to attain and sustain one standard geospatial capability across all AF installations and provide a Common Installation Picture (CIP) and associated Mission Data requirements IAW OSD and AF geospatial standards.
- Develop, update, and maintain utility, infrastructure, facility engineering and geospatial information.
- Support linear segmentation efforts and perform continuous updates to linear segmentation maps for pavement and utility systems.
- Advocate for required IT acquisition through the installation's ExPlan process.
- Align all geospatial outcomes/products with relevant sections of the AFIMSC Geospatial Interoperability Reference Architecture (GIRA).
- Review, evaluate and recommend COR acceptance on geospatial data obtained, created, or collected by other sources to ensure compliance with current and future AF geospatial standards.
- Store official installation built and natural infrastructure spatial data on a government-approved spatial data-computing environment as directed by AFCEC and/or AFCEC's associated teams.
- Collaborate with and form partnerships with nearby/surrounding non-DoD entities (e.g., City/County personnel, first responders, etc.) regarding geospatial data and/or capability sharing. Perform geospatial data conversions as needed. Prepare maps for others.
- Identify installation-level IGI&S related requirements and advocate for funding as required. Submit Installation Geodatabase to AFCEC GIO office upon request and supports annual Common Installation Picture data HAF data call.
- Provide facility/project design, construction layout, utility location, and disaster response surveys (natural & manmade disasters) and associated data IAW current industrial surveying standards.
- Maintain facility and infrastructure drawings, digitized records, and similar mediums drawings IAW SDSFIE standards in AutoCAD format. Update and maintain Common Installation Picture (CIP), Mission Datasets (MDS), and Mission Data Layers (MDL) when changes and additions are made to installation infrastructure.
- Manage GIO working group. Establish/lead short- and long-term working groups to address mission-specific issues. Advises and consults with working groups outside of DoD.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- Five (5) years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with ARCGIS suite (ArcGISPro preferred).
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a Secret Security clearance.
- Shall be present on base during normal duty hours and available for after-hour responses.
- Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card.
- Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
- Valid state Driver's License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
- Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
