JOB SUMMARY: The Associate Counsel is responsible for providing counsel to management and assisting in planning and directing all aspects of the organization's legal affairs and ensures maximum protection of the Company's legal rights. JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
JOB SCOPE: This individual assumes responsibility for complex legal projects and works independently under minimal supervision and with considerable discretion to make decisions that affect the day-to-day operations within the Company. The incumbent applies comprehensive knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures to complete job responsibilities. The incumbent acts as a resource for Assistant Counsels, Paralegals, and other Legal Department staff, as well as other Company departments. Work requires basing decisions on sound logic and rationale; advancing problems or issues toward resolution when encountering ambiguity or uncertainty; choosing the best alternative based on consideration of pros, cons, tradeoffs, timing and available resources; making timely decisions on problems and issues requiring immediate attention; and making sound decisions on complex legal/business issues and problems. COMPENSATION The salary range for this position is $135-145K. Specific offers take into account a candidate's education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate's work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity. |
