Job Summary
Our Interns are immediately integrated with our design teams on project types ranging from higher education, health care to industrial, and municipal. Candidates should have a solid understanding of Revit with AutoCAD knowledge a plus. Interns will work in various disciplines assisting with project design of fire protection, plumbing, and HVAC systems, establishing equipment selection, piping, and ductwork design skills. Primary Functions
- Perform Revit and AutoCAD design for HVAC / Plumbing systems.
- Support Project Engineers / Project Managers on various projects.
- Organize and maintain drawings and project files.
- Work with co-workers in the architecture, electrical, and structural departments to thoroughly use and continually develop MEP BIM technology.
- Perform HVAC and plumbing design tasks under the direction of Project Mechanical Engineers.
- Prepare contract documents, drawings and specifications.
Minimum Physical Requirements
Occasionally exposed to light lifting, sitting, and walking. May perform duties in the field and will be required to access and maneuver around project sites and use a computer. Capable of traveling to and from projects is occasionally required. Ability to use equipment for communication and documentation purposes. Visual acuity to perform responsibilities.
Desired Education
Enrolled in an accredited Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering program.
Desired Skills/Experience
- AutoCAD mechanical design experience
- 3D CAD experience
- Mechanical trades experience
- REVIT experience is a plus
- Possess strong communication skills
- Self-motivated
