Faculty are expected to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, and respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education.
Essential Duties:
-Manage Lewis University's Sales Excellence program, identifying and partnering with strategic sales partners, creating and facilitating student experiential learning opportunities, and administering and growing the undergraduate Sales Excellence certificate program.
-Identify and promote opportunities for students to engage in regional and national sales competition, mentoring/coaching student participants.
-Identify, create and promote sales networking events for students, utilizing professional network to encourage attendance and help build student professional skills.
-Twenty Four (24) credit-hour teaching load per academic year. This position will receive a six (6) credit hour course for the administration of the Sales Excellence Program. Contractual teaching load may decrease in future years based on program enrollment.
-Twelve-month position with minor summer responsibilities.
-Teach a variety of undergraduate Marketing courses including Salesmanship and Advanced Sales, primarily in a face-to-face format on our Romeoville campus.
-Establish and maintain office hours to assist students and foster positive interaction with colleagues and external parties.
-Advise undergraduate students on program progression and academic success.
-Actively participate in College/University Committees, scholarly pursuits, student recruitment, recognition events and other various duties as assigned by the Dean and Department Chair.
-Participate in curriculum development and program assessment.
