Overview

Credence Management Solutions, LLC (Credence) is seeking a Solutions Architect at the principal level to support our C2ISR Division requires infrastructure/enterprise support that oversees, assists, and advises the Division on a wide array of functions and tasks that support successful LCM to reach mission performance goals. The infrastructure/enterprise support defined in this PWS enables the C2ISR Division to execute LCM tasks that are on budget, on schedule, and meet performance requirements with minimal or no risk to mission success. The infrastructure/enterprise support works directly with the Division and Branch leadership to ensure business processes successfully executed and adhered to, that Division programs are compliant with law, regulation, and policy, and that program data is properly defined, documented, and utilized to meet mission need.

The A&AS Contractor supporting this program ensure consistency in Division policy, serve as Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure programs are meeting law, regulation, and policy directives, and ensure the successful execution of both Acquisition personnel shall provide contracting, financial/cost management, QA assistance, program integration, facility management, security program administration, administrative, clerical and management assistance, and logistics management A&AS as required by the Government.

The Solutions Architect will be responsible for having an in-depth understanding of cloud-based architecture solutions for DoD and IC modernization efforts. The Solutions Architect will be responsible to have experience in deploying enterprise scale applications to production using cloud-based infrastructure. The Solutions Architect will need to be able to perform analysis, design, develop, and deliver cloud-based enterprise architecture models in support of AF DCGS Open Architecture and joint interoperability certification requirements. The Contractor will be required to use systems engineering processes to assess opportunities for interoperability and integration of enterprise ISR systems.



Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below

    Understand the VI2E cloud architecture to be able to analyze legacy AF DCGS applications.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and facilitate the optimization of applications for the cloud approach.
  • Operate and manage the DCGS cloud environments.
  • Architect a multi-cloud environment for use in AF DCGS
  • Architect cloud operations to be automated for scaling, elasticity, and failover.
  • Architect cloud architecture to ensure cost optimization throughout operations.
  • Recommend cloud services to meet application requirements Support Government PMs with forecasting and requirements management.
  • Recommend right computer, storage, and network to meet and support application requirements.
  • Provide guidance and expertise on architecture for applications.
  • Provide guidance on cloud best practices.
  • Provide guidance on automation, DevOps, and operations in the cloud.
  • Provide guidance on designing, deploying, scaling, integrating, testing, and delivering of cloud-based solutions.
  • Build/update cloud migration the strategy.
  • Build detailed cloud migration approach and roadmap accounting for application cloud maturity.
  • Train and guide with a focus on cloud infrastructure
  • Track record of implementing cloud services in a variety of distributed computing environments, integrating those services with on premise technologies, and identifying the relationships between services, information, applications, and global infrastructure assets.
  • Develop solution architectures leveraging AWS and Commercial Cloud Services cloud including storage, networking, compute, and security services using best practices and a thorough understanding of AWS technology offerings.


Education, Requirements and Qualifications

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) eligibility is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience implementing and supporting AWS or equivalent cloud enterprise solutions
  • 10 years of experience in technical leadership for DoD or IC Systems Program Office experience in Government IT strategy, projects, and programs. Able to develop new ideas, develop strategic relationships and be able to demonstrate understanding of both DoD and IC organization and related system architectures; Experience designing horizontally scalable services and capabilities.
  • Experience collaborating in a DevOps environment and using Atlassian Suite products (Jira, BitBucket and Bamboo, Puppet, Terraform, Consul, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Microservice architecture, and FedRAMP)
  • Experience with Architecture tools such as Cameo and SparX Enterprise Architect
  • AWS certifications including Solutions Architect Associate, Professional
  • AWS certifications including Developer, SysOps, DevOps
  • Experience with supporting a DoD or IC SPO in architecture development and integration Serverless experience a plus (AWS Lambda)
  • Expertise and experience using the following technologies:
  • Operating multi-account AWS environments, interacting effectively with customers and development teams, gathering, and analyzing requirements for the design of new systems and infrastructure
  • AWS CloudFormation, Amazon Virtual Private Cloud, Elastic Compute Cloud, Amazon S3/ Simple Cloud Storage Service.
  • Strong infrastructure background in the design, development, setup, deployment, operations, and maintenance of enterprise storage, compute, and network solutions (preferably in the cloud)
  • Experience automating infrastructure in Linux and AWS environments.
  • Understanding and experience with agile SW development best practices specifically SAFe, DevOps (CI/CD) and agile sprint planning
  • Strong networking skills required. Expertise with network security concepts such as IPSEC, VPN, SSH, and TLS, also experience with application solutions such as load balancing, forward/reverse proxy, hosting and/or Data Center Consolidation
  • Experience in scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, and/or Python)
  • Able to develop new ideas, develop strategic relationships and be able to demonstrate understanding of both DoD and IC organization and related system architectures; Experience designing horizontally scalable services and capabilities.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience implementing and supporting AWS cloud enterprise solutions
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical leadership for DoD or IC Systems Program Office experience in Government IT strategy, projects, and programs.

Required Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in cyber security, engineering, or related technical discipline from ABET accredited school in Engineering or Computer Science with 25 years of experience and 15 years being in the DoD.
  • Or, Master's degree in cyber security, engineering, computer science or related technical discipline is preferred with at least 20 years of experience, with 12 years being in the DoD but not required.
  • Or, 30 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, 20 years of which must be in the DoD.
  • Cybersecurity Qualification is required for Work Role ID 652 Security Architect
  • Acquisition Qualification is desired.


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Job may require the employee to be:

  • Willingness to travel if required.
  • In a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Able to ascend/descend stairs as required
  • Able to move equipment not to exceed 25 lbs as needed
