Summary:

The Transfer Coordinator reports to the Assistant Vice Provost, Enrollment Management and is responsible for the recruitment and selection of transfer students and for representing the University in a professional, knowledgeable, and responsive manner. Recruitment duties include aggressively managing a recruitment territory, including travel to community colleges, college fairs, and on and off campus events, including transfer days and undergraduate admissions open houses. Participates fully in reading and evaluating transfer applications, administering credit evaluations, and presenting on campus information sessions to prospective transfer students. Conducts extensive follow-up communication via email, phone, and once hub meetings with transfer students who have expressed interest in Temple University. Coordinates information exchange between Schools and Colleges at Temple University; and maintains, updates, and expands the transfer credit data system. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience including admissions experience in higher education. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:

* Strong knowledge of higher education admission processes as related to identifying and evaluating transfer students.

* Ability to travel and transport Admissions materials to locations that may not be accessible via public transportation.

* Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate recruitment cycle.

* Knowledge of admissions and/or student transfer best practices.

* Exceptional attention to detail.

* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects.

* Excellent organization and time management skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

* Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as in a diverse team environment.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

* Strong skills in presentation/public speaking to large groups.

* Ability to work early mornings, evenings and weekends, as needed.

* Ability to lift up to 20 pounds of promotional recruitment material.

Preferred

* Experience with Banner admissions system
