Job Summary:

We are seeking a Sr. Developer with 5 to 8 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Informatica ,Control M, Spark AWS Glue ETL and Amazon S3. This role is based in our office and operates during day shifts. The candidate will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our data infrastructure ensuring seamless data integration and storage solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain ETL processes using AWS Glue to ensure efficient data integration.
  • Design and implement data storage solutions using Amazon S3 to support various business needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver optimal solutions.
  • Optimize existing ETL pipelines to improve performance and reduce processing time.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers in the team.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed processes and solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our data infrastructure.
  • Work closely with data analysts and scientists to support their data needs and enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Implement automation scripts using Python to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the company by delivering high-quality data solutions that drive business growth.

Qualifications

  • Have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Python programming.
  • Demonstrate expertise in AWS Glue ETL for building and managing data pipelines.
  • Show proficiency in using Amazon S3 for data storage and management.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
  • Have excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Experience with other AWS services such as Lambda Redshift and RDS is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Nice to have experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Knowledge of data governance and data quality management practices is beneficial.
  • Certification in AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect is preferred.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $90,000 - $ 105,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
