This position involves providing support for review and evaluation of toxicological data and QA support to several government agencies, including the National Toxicology Program (NTP) under NIEHS and EPA's Office of Pesticide Programs. The position requires extensive experience in the planning, development, and conduct of scientific experiments and in the analysis and critical evaluation of scientific data. Detailed knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) is required along with experience in quality assurance (QA) audits.

Educational/experience requirements: Ph.D. in toxicology, pharmacology, chemistry or related life science 5-7 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities include:



  • Performing data audits of completed toxicology studies; validating reported study results; and training audit teams in performing in-depth retrospective data audits.
  • Review of toxicology studies on pesticides and other chemicals of environmental concern.
  • Data audits and quality assurance reviews of reports prepared by other scientists.


The successful candidate should have:



  • A thorough understanding of experimental design and analysis.
  • Good organizational skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Experience in the preparation and editing of technical reports in clear standard English; and
  • Proficiency in the use of MS-Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
