Apply fundamental Civil Drafting practices and procedures in accordance with prevailing military, industrial, and corporate standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and documenting detailed drawings and plans for civil engineering projects. These projects will include site infrastructure, roadways, drainage systems, and other site development. This role requires proficiency in CAD software and a strong understanding of civil engineering principles. Experience with Building Information Modeling/Management (BIM), Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and 3D modeling is a plus. Develop, review, and update 3D models and Civil drawings using computer-aided design or graphic software to depict equipment, systems, or pictorial presentation. May be required to research projects independently or acquire subject knowledge by consulting with senior technical designers and/or Engineering. A minimum of two years post-high school studies or equivalent equating to 60 credit hours of college-level studies, including courses such as Civil Engineering technology, Surveying, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, strength of materials, and design and drafting techniques. Pay Range
$30.61 hourly
Jobs categorized as subject to a collective bargaining agreement will adhere to the pay rates, wage increases, progression schedules, and other parameters identified and negotiated in said agreements. FMP employees also have an established presence at numerous shipyards and vendor locations. For nearly 70 years, the Naval Nuclear Laboratory has developed advanced nuclear propulsion technology, provided technical support, and trained world-class nuclear operators to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our nation's submarine and aircraft carrier Fleets.
