Workshop Mechanic - Specialty Rental - Deer Park, TX

We are looking for a workshop mechanic in our organization. This position will be located in Deer Park, TX. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment in the shop. It will be your mission to support Atlas Copco Rental North America's growth strategy as a leader in Oil Free air rental business in North America.

Your role.

In the position as a shop mechanic, you will be part of the Atlas Copco Rental's service center team and report directly to the Customer Service Manager (CSM). To succeed in this role:

• You will maintain the fleet in the shop
• You will change oil/oil filter/air filters on equipment coming back in from rent
• You will wash equipment returning from rent
• You will troubleshoot and perform diagnostics on malfunctioning equipment
• You will repair down equipment in the shop
• You will perform preventative maintenance on equipment throughout the territory
• You will develop and optimize efficient processes and routines
• You will Improve measurable success to business targets
• You will document all work performed daily using company provided hardware and software

To succeed, you need

• You have 2-3 years experience as an industrial related service field mechanic
• You should have an appropriate electromechanical degree or training
• You should have demonstrated expertise in the maintenance, overhaul and repair of different industrial equipment including electrical, hydraulics and/or pneumatics
• You will be expected to lift up to 50lbs and work in industrial environments including extremes in temperature with walking, standing, reaching, bending and kneeling
• You should have a good command in English and a second language knowledge is a bonus
• You should have high energy levels

Job location

As a workshop mechanic, you will be on site in the shop at our Deer Park, TX location. You may have the opportunity to travel to customer sites on occasion, but mostly will work in the shop.
