The Impact You'll Make

The Facilities Lab Services Operations Engineer for the Vacuum pumps and abatement systems is focused on supporting equipment and systems that removes the hazardous gases and chemicals from semiconductor lab equipment.

What You'll Do
  • Facilities infrastructure engineering support of operations equipment supporting R&D lab process tools (ie.. Vacuum pumps, point of use burn wet abatement units, point of use heater/chiller heat exchangers)
  • Accountable for operations reliability and maintenance troubleshooting of the following systems:
    • Process module vacuum pumps
    • Point of use burn/wet abatement units
    • Point of use burn box abatement units
    • Point of use heater/chiller heat exchangers
    • Foreline / exhaust line heat wrap systems
  • Owner equipment operations reliability improvements, associated parts ordering, and recommending spare inventory for systems of responsibility.
  • Point of contact for lab internal customer inquiries, nonstandard requests, and escalations.
  • Supports commissioning sign off for accepting operations equipment.
  • Develops and reviews associated procedures and operations business process documentation.
  • Incident/event troubleshooting and supports root cause analysis for systems of responsibility.
Who We're Looking For
  • Bachelor'sdegree in Chemistry, Mechanical engineering or Chemical engineering.
  • Eight (8) years of experience in a similar role in the semiconductor industry; with three (3) years of industrial experience and contractor management/coordination.
  • Ora minimum of 15 years of operations experience in a leadership position(s) in the semiconductor industry.
  • Experience with operations, maintenance and/or design of waste treatment, waste collection, ultra-pure water, and scrubber systems.
  • Experience with operations, maintenance and/or design of semiconductor process gas and chemical source and distribution systems.
  • Experience managing contractors, scopes of work, and service levels.
  • Semiconductor industry experience to include significant time with responsibility to support operations and maintenance of subfab/direct support equipment, and facilities. infrastructure systems.
  • Experience with operations of vacuum pumps and abatement systems (i.e. Ebara, Edwards, Das equipment).
  • Willingness to travel foreign & domestic.

'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
