QI Technician - 3rd Shift

The QI Technician will work as part of a team responsible for the quality control processes performed in a GMP-compliant, dietary supplement manufacturing facility. The QI Technicianwill perform various examination, inspection, and verification tasks to ensure quality system requirements are being followed.

In this role you'll make an impact by:

• Performing production line checks to ensure that the correct components and products are being used and manufactured, e.g., Fermentation recipes/setpoints, Freeze Dryer recipes, etc
• Performing packaging checks such as seal checks, correct labels, packaging components and intermediate products are being used for the product being packaged.
• Ensuringthat production records, including but not limited to equipment logs, scale verification records, room logs, etc. are being completed accurately and at the time use.
• Performing GMP and hygiene inspections throughout the facility including, but not limited to, glass inspection, PPE inspections, and the monthly facility sanitation and pest control inspections.
• Ensuringthat monitoring, testing, and production equipment in the processing areas are accurate, in calibration, and functioning correctly. E.g., probe calibrations, scale calibrations and verifications.
• Performing cleaning and sanitization verification testing, inspect for adequate cleaning, and release of production and packaging equipment when acceptance criteria is met and documenting if standards aren't met.
• Ensuringthat all of the quality check procedures put in place by the company are followed during every production phase.
• Performing seed can inoculation process using sterile technique to initiate the fermentation process.
• Performing routine Environmental Monitoring Swabs.
• Ensuringnon-conforming items are segregated and are appropriately identified as non-conforming.
• Assisting with quality investigations per written and verbal instructions in support of QC, QA, Production, and PMG
• Communicatingpotential quality problems to management.
• Reviewing Batch Production Records for completeness and accuracy.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

To succeed you must hold:

• High school diploma minimum. Previous Quality and GMP experience preferred, preferably in a dietary supplement or pharmaceutical environment.
• Good oral/written communication and math skills.
• Ablilityto read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
• Proven history of understanding industry safety standards and quality expectations.
• Abilityto interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Self-motivated while working with minimal supervision.
• Abilityto follow instructions and manage input from multiple sources.
• Abilityto adapt to changing priorities.
• Abilityto interact with multiple levels and various departments within the company professionally.
