Currently, Alliant Health Solutions, a "2024 Best Place to Work and Healthiest Employer", seeks a Clinical Advisor, Behavioral Health & Patient. This role is contingent upon award of contract. In accordance with customer contractual requirements, the Clinical Advisor, Behavioral Health & Patient Safety will partner with the Quality Improvement Technical Assistance Group and other clinical advisors/subject matter experts to identify and provide assistance with the implementation of interventions to support Behavioral Health: Depression & Suicide/Substance Use Disorder and Patient Safety: Safety Events sub-aims among engaged providers and physician practices in the designated Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) designated states.

In this role, the ideal candidate will:

  • Identify appropriate interventions from the Intervention Design Framework based on the results of provider assessments for incorporation into the Quality Action Plans.
  • Utilize quality improvement methodology, implementation science, healthcare facilitation, intervention effectiveness, behavioral science, and other Alliant-adopted strategies to understand, measure, and predict contract performance through timely and effective measures.
  • Collaborates and actively participates in the PMO (Program Management Office) structure including the establishment of maintenance of project governance, standardized processes, methodologies, and performance metrics to ensure consistent project execution and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Participate in technical assistance encounters to provide expert-level coaching in depression, suicide/substance use disorders, and safety events sub-aims.
  • Assess and analyze available data to identify opportunities for improvement in specified measures and evaluate effectiveness of interventions; and enter timely data entry (within 48 hours) within designated Alliant Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or CMS system to document technical help and update contacts.
  • Collaborate with other clinical subject matter experts and program managers to identify efficiencies in work.
  • Practice rapid cycle improvement techniques in daily work.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required for this role include:
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience in program management including possessing organizational skills and paying attention to detail with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience in Salesforce software.
  • Knowledge, skill, and ability to utilize Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel, and Internet
  • Knowledge, skill and ability to communicate in verbal and written forms to include presentation, training and facilitation skills
  • Knowledge, skill, and training on determining the root causes of inequities and social determinants of health disparities
  • Knowledge of in Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) contract requirements, data analysis and quality improvement methodology
  • Knowledge, skill and ability to analyze situations, determine risks factors and prepare action plans accordingly to achieve desired outcome.
  • Ability to take initiative, operate independently, self-motivate and goal oriented
  • Ability to travel to Alliant Health Solutions states for CMS and State Contract needs, Company office locations, customer meetings and/or other locations by car or plane as needed or required.
Education, experience and training required and preferred for the position are below: Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or other related field required; or equivalent work experience
  • Previous quality improvement work experience in hospitals, nursing homes, and/or physician practices
  • Experience with CMS contract requirements, data analysis and quality improvement methodology
  • Healthcare, government and/or nonprofit experience

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in related field; or equivalent work experience
