Currently, Alliant Health Solutions, a "2024 Best Place to Work and Healthiest Employer", seeks an Advancing Healthcare Quality Technical Advisor. This role is contingent upon award of contract.
In accordance with customer contractual requirements, the Advancing Healthcare Quality in Technology (AHQT) Advisor is a member of a professional multi-disciplinary team responsible for supporting successful local and statewide initiatives to advance healthcare technology.

In this role, the ideal candidate will:

  • Engage providers and practitioners to improve health care quality outcomes to support the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) clinical aims and other emerging priorities.
  • Assess providers and practitioners' readiness to access, share and use data electronically for quality improvement and quality reporting including but not limited to assessing existing system and infrastructure and the readiness to transition to systems and infrastructure more suitable for quality improvement and reporting, utilizing the CMS AHQT Readiness Assessment.
  • Based on the assessment findings, follow the CMS tiering matrix to assign a tier rating to each practice.
  • Lead, guide, and provide customer account management for the use of the quality improvement methodology, implementation science, healthcare facilitation, intervention effectiveness, and behavioral science, and other Alliant-adopted strategies to understand, measure, and predict contract performance through timely and effective measures.
  • Provide training to engaged providers and practitioners on modern Health Exchange Standards and Data Analytics.
  • Practice rapid cycle improvement techniques in daily work.
  • Assess, track, monitor and enter timely data entry (within 48 hours) within designated Alliant Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or CMS system to document technical help and update contacts.
  • Conduct onsite technical assistance to support quality improvement initiatives, providing guidance and hands-on support to ensure successful implementation and outcomes.
  • Implement and spread state and local initiatives at the provider level based on the state level A3C (Assess, Complement, Coordinate, Create).

Knowledge, skills and abilities required for this role include:

  • Knowledge and experience with healthcare quality reporting within a clinical setting, such as hospital, nursing home, federally qualified health center (FQHC), or physician practice.
  • Ability to identify, collect and interpret data for quality improvement purposes, and articulate those concepts in a manner to internal and external staff and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge, skill, and ability to communicate in verbal and written formats, including the ability to conduct presentations and facilitate group meetings and discussions
  • Knowledge, skill and ability to review and process information with attention to detail
  • Knowledge, skill and ability to work with a team and individuals at all levels of an organization
  • Proven ability and experience with engaging and building meaningful connections with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to take initiative, operate independently, self-motivate and goal oriented.
  • Ability to express ideas and convey information quickly and effectively in a verbal and written manner.
  • Ability to think creatively, analyze problems, and find innovative approaches to problem resolution.
  • Ability to be flexible and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience entering activities and interactions within a centralized system as a part of daily work activities. Experience utilizing a CRM such as Salesforce and/or EHRs such as Epic or Cerner is highly preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Computer literate with keyboarding skills and intermediate to advance level knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams), Internet, and virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom.
  • Ability to travel as required by driving and/or going on airplane to home office, customer locations, or other required location to provide technical assistance, meetings etc..

Education, experience and training required and preferred for the position are below:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or other related discipline required; or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of (5) five years of experience working in the healthcare industry, with a strong understanding of medical records, health data security, and other relevant domain-specific healthcare regulations
  • Experience utilizing reporting data and dashboard visualizations (graphs, charts, trends, etc.) is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Power BI and paginated reporting outputs is a plus.
  • Experience using Electronic Health one or more Electronic Health Record systems. Experience can include data entry, end user support, reporting, or user acceptance testing
  • Current physical residence in one of the states mentioned above

Preferred:

  • Training in project management and quality improvement
