The primary purpose of the Credit Analyst II position is to analyze financial information and assess the risk of offering credit to businesses and individuals.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare written credit-approval packages to present for approval for CRE,C&I, SBA, and other specialty lending requests.

  • Prepare financial spreads to analyze financial data such as income growth and quality of management while simultaneously generating financial ratios to evaluate a customer's financial capacity

  • Support the Lending Team by analyzing personal financial statements, preparing cash flow analysis, and researching market information

  • Complete full credit reviews on the Bank's larger loans on an annual basis

  • Perform other job related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education and Minimum Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business related major with at least two accounting courses

  • 1+ year banking credit analyst experience a plus

  • Commercial real estate cash flow analysis experience, preferred

  • Completion of a formalized Credit Training Program a plus

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities

  • Strong analytical ability

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel isrequired

  • Possesses the ability to communicate at a high level both verbally and in writing

  • Motivated self-starter and an active learner

  • Careful attention to detail and time management skills are essential

  • Demonstrate a high level of knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC related responsibilities in the performance of daily operations to ensure adherence to bank policies and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

  • Progressive growth in knowledge and understanding of underwriting principles as well as Bank policies and procedures, laws and regulations, and compliance
