Responsibilities

Ensure optimal patient recovery. This involves in-depth assessments considering medical history, dietary needs, and preferences. You'll collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop personalized nutritional plans, oversee their implementation, and monitor progress. You'll also educate patients and families on healthy eating and navigate restrictions. This role includes evaluating supplement needs and recommending options, along with contributing to the hospital formulary. To stay effective, you'll maintain accurate records and keep current on advancements in nutrition science.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

    Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) license.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting providing patient nutritional care.
  • Strong understanding of medical nutrition therapy (MNT).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to educate and motivate patients and families on healthy eating habits.
  • Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
