Description

Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Limited Energy Class A Technician to join our security business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Installs and repairs electrical wiring, cameras, systems, and fixtures in buildings
  • Installs low voltage electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
  • Tests electrical security systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
  • Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
  • Installs conduits and pulls low voltage cable
  • Trims out security devices
  • Replaces conduit and wiring as needed
  • Ensures piping complies with electrical codes
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:
Basic Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship and valid Limited Energy Class A license is required
  • A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints


  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring


  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools


  • Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment


  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills


  • The ability to travel for work and stay overnight if needed



Physical Requirements:


  • Hear in the normal range with or without correction
  • Have vision sufficient to perform work and be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring
  • Frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms, walk, sit, stand, climb, or balance and stoop, twist, and bend at the waist, kneel, crouch, squat, crawl, raise arms above shoulder height, perform repetitive hand movements
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds from floor level to waist height, up stairs
  • Be able to climb and work off a ladder or scaffold
