Professionals receiving a doctoral degree in psychology should be capable of extending psychological knowledge and exhibiting the high level of analytic skills and theoretical understanding needed to use existing and emerging psychological knowledge. |

- Works within the center-based setting, typically a classroom or job site, implementing educational, behavioral, vocational and leisure programming.
- Assists in maintaining the daily records and materials for client.
- Assists in the routine maintenance and organization of the classroom or work group.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- High School diploma or equivalent, and/or up to 4 years of relevant office, clerical, bookkeeping, library assistant or related experience depending on the duties to be performed.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Previous experience working well with children or adults with autism who are educationally, physically and behaviorally challenged.
- Valid Driver's license, two years of driving experience, and successful completion of the Rutgers Defensive Driving Course.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Must be able to communicate effectively, have effective client service skills, and have the ability to instruct and provide support to the specific student population.
- Competent communication skills.
- Ability to record and maintain data in computerized and non-computerized formats.
- Ability to use specialized instructional and/or record-keeping instruments.

Physical Demands and Work Environment |
- Must be physically active and be on feet most of the day.
- Duties may involve running and physically interacting with individuals with Autism (Adults 21 years plus).
- Following training must be physically capable of safely providing crisis management. techniques including restraining, lifting, blocking individuals with challenging behavior.
- Crowded and moderately noisy conditions with children, adolescents, adults, and staff moving about.
