WORK SHIFT: First Shift (United States of America)
JOB DESCRIPTION: Maintains trash compactor and blue trash bins on a daily basis, Scheduling pick-ups and deliveries as needed to support production needs. Cleans and clears alley way between building on a daily basis and support major clean ups on weekend. Change lighting and Ballast as needed in facility and office space areas and reset breakers and troubleshoot outlets. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Visually and manually inspects or listens to compactor and forklift in case of damage or malfunctions during daily routing work. Visually checks and maintains trash compactor and blue bins during removal of trash from designated areas between buildings and alley ways. Makes sure that the proper materials are placed in the compactor or blue bulk containers. Keeps the area clean around the compactor, bulk containers and trash bin in alley ways. Keeps track of the capacity of the compactor and bulk containers and schedule pickups and deliveries as necessary. Use the floor sweeper to clean between building and all main walkway inside of buildings safely daily. Maintain sweeper by periodically checking the listed maintenance items as needed. Support facility maintenance and projects as directed by Maintenance Manager or Shift Manager Maintains and test water treatment equipment and cooling tower system. Monitors and maintains air compressors and dryers and changes filters on weekend. Moves, manages and helps maintain wastewater, oil and materials. Operates monitors and maintains facility fans and ventilation systems and changes belts on fans when needed. Inspects, operates and maintains facilities doors and docks. Inspects, operates and maintains restroom and lunchroom faucets, fixtures and dispensers. Inspects tests and maintains emergency lighting and replaces batteries when needed. Visually or manually inspects or listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions. Visually locates damaged components on machines. Measures, cuts, threads and installs new pipes, hoses, valves, and manifolds as necessary. Sets up and operates metal working tools such as drill press or grinders and operates in a safe manner. Welds, cuts, fabricates using metal and aluminum. Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to repair area by using handheld and powered tools. Able to use the control systems on equipment and machinery to start, move and test to properly shut down in order to complete work needed. Ability to review the operation of equipment before and after repairs and determine degree of repairs needed or success of repairs completed.

Follows all safety procedures required in work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with higher level facility technicians on installation of new equipment. Use printed or electronic documentation such as manuals, cut sheets or manufacturer websites to verify or expand knowledge on preventative maintenance procedures, frequencies or proper materials. Work with higher level technicians to increase knowledge of equipment operations, preventative and corrective maintenance procedures and practices and troubleshooting processes. Must be able to work overtime as needed, remain flexible and open to possible schedule changes in order to meet business needs.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). At least one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in industrial facilities maintenance and basic electrical. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as mechanical, basic electrical prints or schematics, safety rules, operating and facility maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. At least one-year facility maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Basic to intermediate electrical training or experience with single and three phase electrical circuits up to 480 volts. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, job related internet research and ability to learn our CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software) for daily use. Functional knowledge of mechanical components (valves, pipe fittings, bearings, motors, gearboxes, etc.). Training/certification in operating electric or propane fueled forklift, scissor lift, boom lift
