Job Summary:

The Regional Director of Operations will lead all aspects of regional operations, ensuring operational excellence and financial success. This role involves managing teams, optimizing operational efficiency, and maintaining client relationships. In this role, you will develop and implement strategic plans to drive operational performance while adhering to company and regulatory policies. This role is based at our Hayward branch office and will lead a team of 4 direct managers, 14 indirect managers, and associate staff of 125.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Ensure that all operational activities align with company objectives, achieving financial and customer service targets.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and empower teams, including Customer Service Managers and support staff, to ensure high performance and engagement.
  • Financial Performance: Monitor and optimize financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management. Develop and implement strategic plans to drive profitability.
  • Client & Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and customers, ensuring satisfaction and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Where applicable, ensure compliance with all company policies and applicable laws, including union agreements and government standards.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement regional action plans to drive operational improvements and business growth.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership to identify and implement process improvements, share standard methodologies, and ensure consistent application across the region.
  • Training & Development: Identify and address regional training needs, ensuring teams' continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve operational challenges, adapting to evolving business needs and market conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years' demonstrated ability in a management role within food service or related industries.
  • Strong financial competence with experience in P&L management and strategic planning.
  • Contract-managed service experience preferred
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience leading large teams and collaborating across departments.
