Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated engineer to port microcontroller-related IP designs to a FPGA prototype system and write system level software to validate the IP functionality.

The successful applicant will work as part of the central Digital IP development team, creating new solutions to enable Microchip's 32-bit microcontroller and microprocessor products. They will collaborate with design, architecture and other engineering disciplines to port IP to an FPGA within an SoC framework and develop application-centric testcases to evaluate the functionality and performance of the design.

They will also be involved in building, maintaining and enhancing the FPGA platform and test environment.

Requirements/Qualifications:

* Familiar with ARM Cortex M-family processors.

* Strong experience in embedded system development using C/C++: dealing with common industry tool chains, compilation, linking and IDE usage, preferably in the ARM ecosystem.
* Experience with security protocols.

* Experience with common industry I/O communication interfaces like I2C, SPI, SDIO and USB.
* Familiarity with Atlassian tools (confluence / jira ) and revision control systems
* Experience with FPGA emulation methodologies.
* Experience with lab tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers ... etc).
* Lab experience probing boards and debugging.
* Implementation and execution of security, and communication stacks on emulation platforms.
* Validation data collection and completion of validation reviews.
* Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as hands-on SoC debugging / bring up skills
* Self-motivated, able to work with minimum support, excellent communication skills, excellent presentation skills for validation
plan reviews and ability to excel in a team environment
* MSEE with 7+ years or BSEE with 10+ years of industry experience
