Temple University's Division of Student Affairs is searching for a Residential Operations Manager.

Hourly Rate: $23.05

Job Summary:
Reporting to a Resident Director (RD), the Residential Operations Manager (ROM) oversees the daily administrative operations of an assigned residence hall(s). As a member of an in-hall leadership team, the ROM has overall responsibility for to provide quality and consistent customer service for 450 to 1,000 residents residing within one of Temple University's residential communities. The position requires frequent and meaningful interaction with student staff, residential students, parents/families, faculty, administrators, and community partners. The essential functions are related to administrative and project management tasks, staff supervision and leadership, student learning and engagement, student behavior and incident response, and other general responsibilities, both for students within the assigned community and in greater service to UHRL, DoSA, and their shared commitment to student success. The ROM may also perform other duties as assigned.

The Residential Operations Manager (Clerk V) position is a full-time, 12-month, and live-off appointment.

This position requires a background check and Child Abuse Certifications prior to commencement of service.

Required Education and Experience
* At least three (3) years of related clerical, administrative, or office management experience.
* An equivalent combination of education/training and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities
* Excellent organizational skills, along with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
* Strong interpersonal, oral, written, and active listening skills.
* Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite software systems, and e-mail communication.
* Ability to process payroll, timesheets, maintenance requests, and office supplies.
* Knowledge of clerical functions, including filing, schedule management, record auditing, and operation of office equipment.
* Ability to communicate general instructions and procedures as well as plan, organize, and direct the work of student employees.
* Ability to demonstrate effective customer service to diverse populations.
* Ability to build collaborative partnerships with faculty, administrators, students, parents/families, and community partners.

Preferred:
* Experience supervising, developing, mentoring, and motivating a diverse student staff team.

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote). The duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
