Brief Description of Job Responsibilities:
Performs various assigned duties to assist buyers to place and follow-up on orders, maintain files, records, catalogs, spreadsheets, etc. as directed. Places orders with vendors for standard, secondary or minor items where prices, discounts, terms of purchase, etc. are established by previous repeat buying. Edits requisitions, receiving slips, invoices; investigates errors. This position further assists with inventory, performs clerical, administrative and warehouse duties as needed. Duties, not limited to: * Places requisitions via EHS system for needed department supplies as assigned * Places orders via internet, phone, fax or EDI * Assists with inventory and usage reporting * Creates, updates and maintains various files as directed * Reviews source documents for completion and accuracy * Performs simple data analytics * Assists the buyers with recalls * Assists the buyers with end-of-year inventory counts * Reconciles PO's and credit card purchases * Researches new products * Completes requested clerical work * Assists in the warehouse as needed * Participates in group/individual projects * Attends required meetings Performance Requirements: * Ability to perform responsibilities efficiently, neatly and accurately with a high standard of quality * Ability to respect confidentiality of all patients and employees * Ability to enter data with high degree of accuracy * Self-directed and able to work independently and with a team * Strong organizational skills with effective oral and written communication skills * Proficiency with use of a keyboard, phone, fax and other office equipment * Ability to problem-solve * Ability to work under stressful conditions * Ability to meet deadlines as part of a weekly/monthly/yearly reporting process * Ability to lift 30 lbs.
