The Graduate School of Education, Rutgers University invites applications for Lecturer (formerly Part Time Lecturers) teaching positions in the Department of Learning and Teaching during the 2025 Spring semester, January 21, 2025 - May 14, 2025

Successful applicants will instruct undergraduate or graduate level courses in a demonstrated specialization and/or content areas (Math, Science, Literacy/English, Social Studies, Technology, Elementary Education, Language Education, Adult and Continuing Education and/or Foundation areas)

Courses will be taught in a range of modalities. Course appointments are in the New Brunswick area, as well as, hybrid/online format.

Minimum Education and Experience
Masters Degree Required.

Doctorate Degree Preferred.

Applicants with other degrees from an accredited institution will be considered. Some prior teaching experience is also preferred.

Instructors are expected to return required paperwork, attend orientations, submit syllabi, respond to student emails, and submit assessments and final grades as per contract.

Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Additional infection control and safety policies may apply. Prospective employees should speak with their hiring manager to determine which policies apply to the role or position for which they are applying. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain a medical or religious exemption from the University will result in rescission of a candidate's offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
