Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Overnight Ultrasound Technologist - Brooklyn.
In this role, the successful candidate Performs diagnostic medical Echocardiogram examinations as requested by physicians, is under the supervision of the Director of Non-Invasive Cardiology
Job Responsibilities:
- Must be able to function in high stress environment.
- Performs Echocardiograms as ordered by physicians for patients
- Conducts scanning procedures using appropriate transducer and settings
- Selects correct accession number for studies to go to PACS/MERGE system
- Completes studies in PACS/MERGE system
- Must be able to use independent judgment in performing echocardiogram examinations
- Judges if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes
- Performs efficiently in emergency/crisis situations following established protocols
- Demonstrates awareness of self-responsibility and accountability for own professional practice
- Maintains a safe environment by implementing technical aseptic practices
- Accepts direction form supervisor willingly
- Fosters an environment that promotes teamwork
- Checks supply levels. Keeps work areas clean. Alerts supervisor to equipment malfunction
- Arrives at work station at the scheduled time and is prepared to work\
- Attends workshops and seminars both in and outside of hospital to increase knowledge and refine skills
- Assists physician during trans esophageal echos
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate from an accredited ultrasound school
2+ years preferred
RDCS registered or registry eligible. New grads have 1 year from hire to register as a condition of employment
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $98,245.30 - $109,985.30 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
