Primary Purpose The Parkland Innovation Programs Specialist will focus on supporting the operational and clinical team as they engage in practice transformation, performance management support, and program integration. The individual will work closely with physicians, staff, and leadership in improving the health of populations, specifically using data for problem solving. The role will work closely with several departments, including Operations, Quality, Safety, Care Coordination, Inpatient services and the data and analytics team. They assist in identifying practice opportunities and integrating various programs and resources into the clinic workflows with the intent to optimize the patient experience, quality of care provided, and positively impact resource utilization. Support the clinics by analyzing performance reports and data to inform decision-making, process, and program implementation. Monitor and implement educational and process interventions based on site-level data, trends and identified opportunities. Minimum Specifications Education
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or Healthcare related field.
Experience
- Must have two (2) years of healthcare experience working with data/reports management.
- Must have experience developing and improving business processes and productivity in a healthcare setting.

- Must be able to demonstrate an expert knowledge of Project Management processes and methodologies.
- Must be able to demonstrate skills used in the development of work breakdown structures, project risk management planning, cost-benefit analysis, and project audit requirements.

Responsibilities
- Support the operational and clinical team as they engage in practice transformation, performance management support, and program integration.
- Support clinics in implementing structures and processes in alignment with Value Based, patient focused care models. This will include assisting practices in evaluating data, identifying opportunities and implementing action plans to improve population health management.
- Provide project management support through planning, managing, performing, and reporting on the work performed by individual project teams. Ensures comprehensive and consistent documentation and reporting of program metrics. Develop the project schedule, ensuring timely project completion.
- Work directly with care providers to build relationships, ensure effective education and reporting, and, through analysis and evaluation, to proactively identify opportunities to collaborate with providers in achieving transformation and program goals.
- Assist with the operational business needs and produce reports, processes, or monitors to track and support activities for Population Health division.
- Builds, runs, and provides reporting, metrics, data collection, and data analysis regarding divisional activities, projects, or goals while ensuring the accuracy of data and uses sound clinical and technical logic, statistical methodologies to signify variance. Creates project methodology and data aggregation logic working with clinicians.
- Stays abreast of the latest developments, advancements, and trends in departmental level Information Systems by attending seminars/workshops, reading professional journals, and actively participating in professional organizations. Maintains healthcare licensure as needed. Integrates this knowledge into the job as appropriate.
- Maintains knowledge of computer system technology and supports staff knowledge of support tools, reporting methodologies, data design and definitions. Research information and communicates in response to directives in a timely and appropriate manner, and demonstrates responsiveness to innovation and cross-discipline expertise.
- Works with assigned management staff, internal/external customers, and vendors to project and identify divisional trends. Partners with Information Technology and technical areas of the organization regarding the implementation and maintenance of office applications, programs, and other online systems.
- Identifies ways to improve work processes and improve customer satisfaction. Makes recommendations to supervisor, implements, and monitors results as appropriate in support of the overall goals of the department and Parkland.
- Establishes and maintains collaborative, responsive customer service with internal and external customers by providing continuous follow through and communication regarding division operations.
- Maintains knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws, and guidelines that impact the departmental level Information Systems. Develops effective internal controls designed to promote adherence with applicable laws, accreditation agency requirements, and federal, state, and private health plans. Seeks advice and guidance as needed to ensure proper understanding.
