Senior IT Business Analyst - HR

Purpose
The purpose of this position is to understand business work processes and provide the right digital (IT systems and Data Analytics) capabilities to support the business. This role will help Teichert prioritize and maximize our digital investments to increase productivity, efficiency and deliver transformational capabilities to the business.
Focus & Scope
Essential duties and responsibilities, i.e. those which are basic, necessary, and an integral part of the job, are indicated below:
Company / Entity
  1. Actively supports the achievement of the business unit's goals and objectives by applying expert knowledge of a variety of technologies.
  2. Collaborates across departments and supports consistent technical practices and financial reporting procedures. Adheres to policies, procedures, and standards that protect the company's interests.
  3. Promotes and protects Teichert's, values including diversity, teamwork, fair work environment, and respect of others to maintain a "team" spirit within the business unit and on project teams; works and cooperates with other disciplines across company lines to ensure maximum and best uses of Teichert resources.
  4. Builds and maintains positive working relationships with internal and external customers. Maintains a positive impression of the department and company with external customers through professional interactions.
  5. Promotes and protects the community perception of Teichert.
Technical / Specialty Area
  1. Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvement based on industry trends and professional business knowledge.
  2. Improve training and operational procedures used across the business and functional units to increase efficiency and productivity.
  3. Work directly with stakeholders to understand the individual needs of the businesses and function.
  4. Work closely with functional and business stakeholders and IT teams to identify the right digital solutions (systems & analytics) for existing gaps.
  5. Ability to engage vendors, schedule internal demos, lead discussion to identify fit for purpose of solutions to organizational needs and lead vendor/product choices for key needs. Able to present recommendations with detailed analyses including cost, technical/data architecture, supportability etc.
  6. Ability to map key data and reporting needs from key enterprise processes and keep these current as organizational processes shift.
  7. Oversee implementation projects from beginning to completion.
  8. Use a variety of data analysis and organization tools to discover the most impactful insights.
  9. Maintain and prioritize product backlogs with stakeholders. Actively champion new project investments to digitally enable the business.

Role Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field required
  • Master's degree in computer science or a related field preferred
Experience& Industry Expertise:
  • 8 or more years of work experience as an IT business analyst required
  • Extensive experience with HR and implementation of HR IS systems like Workday, ADP etc. preferred. The initial scope of this role is to support our HR function. Candidates with willingness and ability to lead business analyses across multiple functions and businesses preferred.
  • BA, PMP certification preferred.
Specific Job Requirements:
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug, alcohol, and background investigation
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Current on all company required safety and regulatory training
  • Detail oriented, analytical and well organized
  • Strong problem solving, written and oral communication skills, as well as excellent judgement and self-motivation.
  • Ability to work well independently or with a team.
  • Strongly developed organizational and time management skills with the ability to move a project from design to adoption.
  • Training and expertise in change management preferred.
  • Demonstrated prior experience and ability to learn the business, organizational dynamics etc. required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead influentially across the organization.
  • Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels across the organization.
