What you'll do
As the Client Development Manager (Remote) for Spartan RV Chassis, a brand within our Specialty Vehicles division based at our new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Charlotte, MI, you will enjoy being the primary customer-facing member for our leasing customer account segments.
Your main focus will involve building and maintaining executive-level relationships and strengthening account partnerships with customers through promoting The Shyft Group's value proposition with a consultative sales approach. Your success will be measured based on retention and profitable growth within the assigned customer accounts.
Additionally, you will be expected to grow sales by developing relationships learn about customers' applications, anticipate customer needs, recommend product options, and best practices, and provide prompt responses and resolution to customer complaints.
What you'll do
- Grow sales by developing relationships, learning about
the customer applications, anticipating the needs of the client, and
recommending product options/best practices - Clearly understands the value proposition and able to articulate and
concentrate on value added selling - Develop an in-depth understanding of each client and clearly define their fleet
goals and business objectives - Successfully executes company consultative-sales approach that
ensures alignment with client's business goals and objectives - Develops and maintains an effective ongoing working knowledge of the company's
and client's systems and processes - Works with the client and other internal departments to identify and develop
effective client management strategy - Researches the industry by reviewing industry publications, attending trade
shows, etc. to identify trends and/or new products - Provides accurate information and consultation to clients
- Prepare projections for assigned accounts and uses the projections to
proactively manage client relationships and achieve targeted
goals/objectives - Identifies "decision maker(s)" and others who can influence the
decision-making - Establishes and maintains relationship with these individuals
- Acts as voice of the client advocate to develop data relative to
marketing trends, competitive products, and pricing - Submits marketing intelligence to sales management
- Collaborates across all functional groups (engineering, operations, sourcing,
etc.) to provide best-in-class consulting and service to clients
Conduct and be responsible for conference calls, client visits, and resulting
action items - Anticipates and takes appropriate action to avoid issues
- Aids in the resolution of complex problems or issues
- Conducts a review of issues to proactively identify trends which may adversely
impact client's satisfaction - Documents any sales related activity in CRM software
- Interfaces with internal partners/departments to resolve any client
issue - Effectively manage the quote process and present quotes to existing clients for
renewals/rebuys and additional products and/or services - Conduct pilot reviews to further endear clients
to company product, process, and people - Participate in sales order to transition meetings
- Represent sales and engineering regarding engineering dates for scheduling of
vehicle

What you need to be successful
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, marketing or a discipline, or equivalent combination of education and 4 years' of sales or marketing environment;
- Good understanding of general business and
account management operations

priorities and meet objectives - Maximizes sales results through new business opportunities within existing account
- Adapts approach to different buying influences and
identifies client needs and gains client commitment - Opportunistic and commits time and effort to ensure success
- Makes persuasive presentations and closes through logical,
incremental steps - Must be able to set priorities, meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks while
maintaining a calm disposition in pressured situations - Able to communicate the value and benefit
of company's products and partnering as a client
advocate - Solution driven, highly creative, strong problem solving, analytical,
interpersonal and presentation skills - Able to analyze factors, develop effective sales strategy, anticipate, and
exceed client need and close sales - High level of determination, initiative, perseverance, and
resiliency
Able to maintain "can do" attitude in the face of client rejection
