Job Summary
Seeking part-time medical receptionist coverage for the Auburn University Pharmaceutical Care Center.

Temporary Employment Services ( TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:

  • Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
  • Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
  • Assistance with special projects
  • Seasonal work
  • Emergencies

Essential Functions

  • Greet and attend to patients in person and over the phone.
  • Professional assist clinical staff, visitors and patients.
  • Answers telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner. Assists in answering questions, taking messages, or routing calls to the appropriate area.
  • Monitors voicemail and e-mail.
  • Performs all duties within HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist with opening and closing the clinic daily; keeps AUPCC clinic lobby clean, organized, and ready for business daily.
  • Schedules patient appointments; maintain paper and electronic records.
  • Performs clerical duties, which may include (but not limited to): typing correspondence, filing and record keeping, maintain calendars, distributing mail, and ordering supplies.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience
