Position Purpose |
Leads marketing, recruitment, and yield strategies in support of growing student enrollment across Thayer School of Engineering's portfolio of degree and non-degree offerings. With an emphasis on enhancing diversity recruitment, works to increase the quality and quantity of the applicant pool for graduate programs through marketing and direct contact with potential applicants, and supports undergraduate engineering recruitment initiatives. |

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5 years' experience in marketing, admissions, and/or recruitment.
- Strong understanding of the graduate degree and undergraduate marketplace, and best-practice recruitment strategies.
- Proven project management and event planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience leading and executing well-run events.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content and presentations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, remains calm under pressure, and responds positively to change.
- Ability to support, contribute to, and strengthen a vibrant, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community of students, alumni, faculty, and fellow professionals.
- Ability to anticipate, deliver on, and exceed expectations.
- Significant experience with the Slate platform or other similar CRM systems.
- Evidence of a collaborative style in a project-based setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

Develops goals and implements recruitment and marketing strategies
- In collaboration with the admissions team, program area leads, and program directors, evaluates recruiting needs and goals and develops plans to implement for the next recruiting cycle
- Develops annual outreach targets
- Partners with the communications team to design and execute comprehensive marketing plans and outreach efforts to increase awareness and drive enrollment
- Evaluates results of current initiatives, identifies opportunities to improve efforts, and implements change

Description |
Leads recruitment events for graduate programs and supports undergraduate recruitment efforts
- Implements recruitment strategies to meet targets
- Develops recruitment and yield event content in collaboration with Program staff/directors and Communications
- Plans and drives in-person and virtual graduate student recruitment and admissions events, including collaborations with the Guarini School of Graduate and Advanced Studies
- Builds and implements communications to drive sign ups and post event follow-up
- Provides and supports the event management for undergraduate recruiting initiatives
- Evaluates and reports on results of recruitment efforts on student yield to Program Directors

- Monitors the status of new inquiries, new applicants, and new admits, and implements personalized nurturing initiatives where relevant
- Implements innovative strategies to convert inquires to applicants, and admitted students to enrolled students
- Creates, implements, and continually improves recruiting-focused and yield-focused email campaigns in Slate
- Develops new marketing content for all stages of the enrollment funnel
- Implements targeted, personalized communications that foster strong connections to Thayer and Dartmouth throughout the full enrollment cycle from inquiry to enrolled student
- Provides communications/marketing support via Slate for undergraduate recruiting initiatives
