Summary of Job Duties:Responsibilities at this AACSB-accredited college include developing and teaching undergraduate courses in General Business and Management as well as sustained interaction with business and industry. Other duties will include assessment/evaluation of instruction; career advisement, recruitment, and retention activities; and participation in college and University committees. The position reports to the department head of Business. Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Work Experience: Ph.D. in Management or appropriately related field from an accredited institution (ABD with completion date no later than August 2025 considered) OR Master's degree in Business combined with extensive professional experience.

Preferred Education and/or Work Experience: Previous experience assisting small business or entrepreneurs. Previous teaching experience across multiple delivery modes including full online; extensive knowledge of current and emerging technologies relevant to the profession

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

To perform the job successfully, the following competencies are required for the essential functions of this position:

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Classroom and online instruction
  • Scholarly or professional development activity sufficient to maintain faculty appointment
  • Service to college and University, including career advising and committees
  • Curriculum planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Assessment and evaluation of instruction
  • Engagement with the business community

Other Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Activities in support of the recruitment and retention of students
  • Attendance and participation in all faculty and administrative meetings, Student Research Symposium, commencement ceremonies, and other meetings/events as required
  • Other duties as assigned.

Responsible for maintaining a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to foster teamwork and by providing leadership to subordinates. Requires consistent on-time attendance.

Additional Information:

Special Job Dimensions: Work performed primarily in an office/classroom setting. Occasional travel and extended hours required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly exhibits digital dexterity when entering data into computer. Required abilities include walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods. Visual demands include close, relatively detailed vision when focusing on a computer screen. Employee regularly talks and hears. Employee occasionally lifts items up to 10 pounds.

$75,000-$90,000/9- months
