Corewell Health is offering up to $1,500 as a sign on bonus for this opportunity! About the unit 7 South is a 32 bed, Neuro Surgery focusedMedical Surgical floor. We serve patient population that includes and are not limited to, post-operative surgical patients related to Spine and Ortho Spine, C-Spine,Lumbarand ThoracicSpinesurgeries, as well as patientsstaying for extended recovery after general out-patient surgicalprocedures. The Medical patient population includes, acute mental Status changes, Seizures, GIbleed, Pneumonia,Stroke, PolydrugAbuse, ETOHAbuse on CIWA pathways, Psychiatric patients, PalliativeCare, hospice, MultipleSclerosis, Isolation patients and patients with other infections and complex family issues. The unit has 8 telemetry beds to monitor patients with suspected cardiac involvement. Scope of work Assists licensed nursing staff in providing direct patient care and helps in the environmental maintenance of the nursing unit under the direction of the Registered Nurse and within the scope of defined practice. Provides for personal care and safety needs of patients promptly under the supervision of licensed nursing staff including specific procedures and patient testing addressed in the patient plan of care. Maintains an orderly unit environment with sufficient supplies and equipment in order to facilitate staff performance of patient care. Facilitates the admission, discharge, and transfer of patients on and off unit in accordance with established policies and procedures. How we will care for you, while you care for our patients
