Job Description Summary

The technical project consultant with a building component and systems focus is responsible for providing project management and professional technical consulting and support to the client's Partner Solutions Team & Integration MEP Lead.

Job Description

Specific functions and responsibilities:

  • Effectively lead a portfolio of projects while leveraging the resources of manufacturers, suppliers, consulting partners and internal stakeholders to ensure forward progress and focus are maintained.
  • Provide consultation on individual MEP designs for both new and existing restaurants to ensure owner project requirements are met and MEP design solutions are sustainable for the life of the asset.
  • Provide leadership and accountability in testing and piloting and evaluating new technical building components prior for approval and use.
  • Transfer technical knowledge and information to non-technical people effectively in both written and verbal form.
  • Support client in leveraging Manufacturer support to define root causes technically complex building components and bring timely resolution to those issues.
  • Understand the overall functionality of the building as a system and be able to think multi-dimensionally about the cause and effect each system has on the other.
  • Develop personal knowledge of restaurant equipment and building systems outside of your area of knowledge and experience including how the various components function within the overall restaurant environments. Systems including, but not limited to the following:

Plumbing Systems & Components

Beverage Systems & Components

Refrigeration Systems & Components

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or associate degree (Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering)
  • Min 5 Years experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing. Design or systems installation.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, blueprints and specifications.
  • Ability to interact and communicate with manufacturing partners, product design engineers, building systems design professionals (Internal & External), General Contractors, Sub-Contractors and Suppliers.
  • Ability to effectively guide others towards sound technical solutions.
  • Strong project management & communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Self-motivated for continuous improvement of personal skills and knowledge
  • Ability to take initiative recognizes needs, and act without prompting from supervisor.
  • Ability to maintain a friendly, helpful attitude, and demonstrate empathy to customer
  • 30-40% Travel
