Your Role on the Team

The Wagar lab is seeking a staff research associate to join us and contribute to our efforts to accelerate vaccine design. This is a long-term position for a lab manager role in the lab. Responsibilities will include assisting other lab members with experiments, contributing to tissue collection efforts, maintaining lab compliance with safety and ethics reviews, and general lab maintenance duties. Although experience in a research lab environment is helpful, we are also happy to train an eager, motivated individual who wants to gain experience. The incumbent will learn a variety of cutting-edge immunological techniques, work closely with our lively team of postdocs and grad students, and participate in lab discussions about data interpretation, project planning, grant writing, and organization. The lab is highly collaborative and there will be numerous opportunities to interact with other research groups and contribute to publications. The Wagar lab has membership in the Vaccine R&D Center, Institute for Immunology, Center for Virus Research, and the Cancer Research Institute.
