A Taste of What You'll Do

Are you passionate about sensory experiences and looking to make a tangible impact in the world of wine? Join our dynamic team as a Sensory Assistant, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting the sensory evaluation process for our discrimination panel, bench tastings, and wine-style product-guidance training events. Working under direct supervision, you'll be responsible for conducting sample and room preparation, ensuring the smooth operation of our sensory laboratory and supply rooms.

In this role, you'll prepare samples, manage data collection, set up computers, and organize panel rooms for sensory evaluations. You'll also support various training events fielded by the Product Insight Sensory Operations department, ensuring everything runs seamlessly. Your tasks will include setting up and cleaning after bench tastings, building sensory ballots using specialized software, and creating and labeling samples. You'll enter evaluation data into SIMS or Excel databases and handle analytical software to submit and prepare samples for analysis, preventing contamination or loss.

Additionally, you'll assist panel leaders in monitoring and tracking panelist performance and facilitate the weekly pick-up and recycling of wine and empty glass bottles. Maintaining the sensory laboratory, equipment, and evaluation rooms will be part of your daily routine, ensuring everything is in top condition. You'll also manage sensory aroma references and documentation and provide backup support to Sensory Technician functions.

We value behaviors that exhibit intrapreneurship and ownership. We encourage bold thinking, appropriate risk-taking, learning from mistakes, showing initiative, and reinforcing innovation. We also emphasize setting high expectations, driving candid discussions, and holding ourselves and others accountable.

Our commitment to quality, environmental, and safety regulatory considerations is paramount, including adherence to COVID-19 laboratory protocols and PPE requirements. Join us and bring your passion for sensory experiences to a team that values innovation, accountability, and excellence.
