STV has an immediate need in either our Charlotte, NC or Morrisville, NC offices for a Civil Engineer in our Transportation & Infrastructure Division. The successful candidate will:

* Prepare Storm Water Management Plans and Reports for roadway, transit, rail, and culvert/bridge projects.

* Perform hydrologic & hydraulic studies

* Coordinate permitting through various water management agencies

* Participate in project development meetings with clients

* Coordinate design development and assist with technical direction of junior staff

* Assist with the development of specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports

* Establishing working relationships and interfacing with client technical staff and project managers

* Mentoring supporting water resource design staff

* Experience with green stormwater, and erosion and sediment control techniques is a plus

Responsibilities include:

* Using hydrologic and hydraulic software such as Geopak Drainage, StormCAD, and HEC-RAS modeling

* Using CADD and mapping software including MicroStation, AutoCAD, and ESRI ArcGIS

* Strong inter-personal skills for client and other engineering discipline interaction

* Candidate should possess knowledge and experience of NC Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and Local government design and permitting requirements

Required Skills:

* The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Engineering and (Civil, Biological, Agricultural, or another related discipline)

* A minimum of 8 years of experience of Water Resources and Storm Water Design Engineering - design of storm drains, culverts, storm water management, BMPs, , hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and Floodplain studies, and cost estimating

* NC PE license is required

Compensation Range:

$99,966.00 - $133,287.00
