SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars. STARLINK VISION AUTOMATION ENGINEER As a member of the Starlink Tooling and Automation & Controls Engineering team you will work with a team of elite engineers to design, qualify and implement advanced vision systems and process controls tools that are critical to Starlink Satellite Constellation production.
- Work on high impact applications to increase quality and efficiency of our manufacturing lines and create the factory of the future for high volume, highly automated satellite production.
- Constantly raise the bar for tight process controls and contribute to an unstoppable team as driven as you are!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement backbone vision software applications as a common platform to streamline deployment, management and scaling.
- Collaborate across teams (manufacturing, production, flight design, build reliability, supply chain) to identify opportunities, propose and implement action items to improve manufacturing processes in a data driven way.
- Develop and implement full-stack automated vision packages for robotic guidance, quality control and data collection for our manufacturing lines.
- Test, optimize and qualify vision systems to guarantee compliancy with production standards to meet takt and accuracy requirements.
- Own, maintain and upgrade existing systems to improve product quality and line efficiency.
