HDR is currently seeking a GIS Specialist to join our Rosemont, IL office. In the role of GIS Specialist, we'll count on you to support GIS tasks for multidisciplinary projects, including transportation, energy and water; design and produce cartographic products for various purposes; perform data input and editing of spatial data under minimal supervision using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online; conduct spatial analyses using ArcGIS; prepare geoprocessing models using ModelBuilder, Python or other scripting languages; prepare spatial databases for projects and perform routine database management; support field data collection using ArcGIS Online apps and associated data management; Prepare documented technical procedures; and perform other duties as needed. In the role of GIS Specialist, we'll count on you to

Preferred Qualifications
- Esri Certification, GISP, AICP, PTP, PE or other professional certification a plus
- Familiarity and use of ExperienceBuilder is a plus

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Natural Science or other closely related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience'
- A minimum of 3 years practical GIS experience
- Proficient using ArcGIS and other related GIS software for editing, database development, and map production
- Strong cartographic skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 Apps
- Requires attention to detail, effective time management, ability to work independently or with a team, and excellent written and oral communication skills
