Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Onboarding Coordinator for University Human Resources - Talent Acquisition.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Administers and audits remote and in-person I-9 Forms.
- Monitors daily transactions submitted by departments to ensure I-9 compliance within the mandated deadlines.
- Serves as the primary UHR contact for the Electronic I-9 System, providing support for inquiries and related issues on an ongoing basis.
- Serves as the liaison between management, faculty, staff, and applicants regarding employment policies, practices, and procedures.
- Provides guidance on faculty posting processes via Applicant Tracking System; performs audits of faculty job postings.
- Provides guidance to hiring departments and applicants regarding pre-employment screenings and onboarding policies and processes.
- Enters, reviews, and adjudicates background checks performed by vendor.
- Verifies candidate qualifications independently when appropriate.
- Coordinates pre-adverse and adverse actions in compliance with pre-employment screening and hiring policies and processes.
- Coordinates onboarding tasks and update records in the Applicant Tracking System

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree.
- Two years (2) of experience in human resource management
- Or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Experience in higher education.
- Experience in a labor environment.

Immunization Requirements
Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Additional infection control and safety policies may apply. Prospective employees should speak with their hiring manager to determine which policies apply to the role or position for which they are applying.
