Your role

As a Process Improvement Engineer, you will:

  • Lead internal and external projects to improve the availability of the rental fleet
  • Lead the continuous improvement of productive time and employee utilization
  • Rely on the latest IT platforms available to meet company goals
  • Work very close with business users and technical experts and create value for every role in our organization at a local, regional and global level.
  • Build a thorough understanding of the current processes using 6Sigma tools, mapping their opportunities and areas for improvement
  • Scout for new and common use-cases across our organization, supported by the divisional team.
  • Help business users identify and prioritize their business problems, based on which will create the highest value when solved. These may be opportunities to improve the availability and reliability of the rental fleet, boost employee utilization, improve overall fleet quality.
  • Be the expert within the Rental and Service processes, you are the go-to person with regards to our current operational workflows, and are able to provide trainings to end users on future process improvements.
  • Be an extremely active coach and develop less experienced staff throughout the company

To succeed, you need

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial/process engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience with operational systems is required for this role.
  • Six Sigma green belt certification is a plus
  • Mastering process-management skills is necessary. You should be able to direct an analytics initiative from ideation through production and adoption and understand the common pitfalls using lean manufacturing techniques
  • You show a strong affinity with business processes and quality control.
  • Knowledge of an ERP-system is necessary.
  • Knowledge of inventory control and inventory management
  • Through knowledge of Office 365
  • A customer centric individual who understands customer needs and seeks to fulfill or exceed expectations
  • A team player and natural diplomat who interacts and unites team members, customers, all stakeholders. Soft skills like emotional intelligence and a preference to do storytelling will be required to ensure long-term adoption.

Job location

As a Process Improvement Engineer, you will be based in our corporate office in Deer Park, TX. The first 90 days of this position will require you to be in the office every day. After that in alignment with your manager, it will move into a hybrid role, and you will not have to come in every day.
