Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner to join ourRadiologydepartment. The ideal candidate will perform fluoroscopic procedures and injections, assist in generating preliminary reports, and support patient communications and navigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fluoroscopic Procedures:Perform and assist with fluoroscopic procedures with a radiographic technologist, under the supervision of a radiologist.

  • Injections:Administer injections as required for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.

  • Preliminary Reports:Assist in the preparation of preliminary reports based on imaging findings.

  • Patient Communication:Communicate effectively with patients regarding procedures, results, and follow-up care.

  • Patient Navigation:Guide patients through theradiologyprocess, ensuring they understand each step and addressing any concerns.

  • Collaboration:Work closely with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.

  • Compliance:Ensure all procedures and practices comply with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

  • Other: As requested by the Chair, based on competency and skill set

Qualifications:

  • Education:Master's degree in physician assistant studies from an accredited program.

  • Certification:Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

  • Licensure:Valid state license to practice as a Physician Assistant.

  • Experience:Previous experience inradiologyor a related field is required. Must be willing to travel to another UVMHN Network facility for training, if needed.

  • Skills:Strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in usingradiologyequipment.

Additional Information:

Salary Range: $111,459- $156,042
