What's Available:
  • Full Time
  • 1.0 FTE
  • Schedule: Days, 10-hour days, 4 days a week, rotating PM's
  • Shifts: 5:30am to 4pm, 5:45am to 4:15pm, and 6am to 4:30pm
    Weekends: 1 weekend every eighth weekend, call is every 8th week and a week at time.
What you will do:
  • Provide LOVE + MEDICINE to our patients by greeting them with a warm and welcoming smile and setting the tone for their appointments
  • Update patient information in charting systems
  • Take vitals
  • Get hands on experience working on procedures with nurses and providers
  • This position will give you the chance to learn new things as an MA that are not possible in other departments
  • Partner with a team of providers, medical professionals, and managers who are here to support your success and that of our patients in their health journeys.
What you need:
  • Post High School education in a specialized field: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited MRI program
  • 6 months Clinical experience in radiology technology program.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology Registered Technologist-Radiography (ARRT)
  • Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands on learning) from one of the following programs; American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Job Description:

Performs high quality MRI exams and procedures to aide in medical diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Works with Gundersen Health System patients and their families to provide compassionate, individualized care in the provision of Magnetic Resonance Imaging services. Understands and applies the concepts of Magnetic Resonance when performing examinations on patients.

2. Demonstrates accurate knowledge of established protocols and equipment operation when performing exams on patients. Provides the best images possible to radiologists and providers for interpretation. Provides high quality service to customers in a cost-effective and efficient manner. Ensures safety of patients entering MRI Scan suite.

3. Maintains confidentiality with others regarding patient and organizational information. Responsible for attending staff meetings, in services, and continuing education as required by the department.

4. Assumes responsibility to provide a high quality learning environment for patients, their families, students and co-workers.

5. Performs other job-related responsibilities as listed on the competency checklist and as requested by others.

6. Utilized knowledge of regulatory compliance when working with patients and their associated charges.

7. Assesses learning limitations on patients when providing education and records appropriately in IDX and/or CWS as needed.

8. Administers contrast and necessary medications per established protocols needed to perform MRI exams.

9. Adheres to regular and predictable attendance.

10. Personally interacts, engages with and cares for patients.

11. Ensures patient safety.

Education and Learning:

REQUIRED

Post High School education in a specialized field:

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited MRI program

Work Experience:

REQUIRED

6 months Clinical experience in radiology technology program.

DESIRED

3-4 years of experience

License and Certifications:

REQUIRED
