Fabricator

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a first shift (6AM - 2:30PM) Fabricator based in Reamstown, PA. The Fabricator is responsible for performing fabrication and assembly of all rails, headers, sidelites, and accessories for the glass product line (IGS).

HOURLY HIRING RANGE: $20.00/hr - $25.00/hr(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Operate drill presses, saws, milling machine, small presses, hand tools and packaging equipment, perform machining, assembly and packing operations
• Accurately locate materials, inspect and prepare prior to and after processing them
• Diligently follow shop drawings, written instructions, standard operating procedures, quality control guidelines during manufacturing operations
• Deburr sharp edges and remove small quantities of metal with hand tools to produce a close fit between parts
• Perform minor tool changes / machine set-ups

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• High school diploma and/or GED certification
• Experience in relevant field or equivalent combination of training and/or experience
• Ability to read and interpret a variety of documents (standard operating procedures, safety rules, guidelines, maintenance instructions, quality manual) furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read a tape measure withing 1/32nd of an inch
• General assembly skills
• Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
